Our Story
On October 5, 2003, Church on the Rock Community Fellowship was established under the leadership of LaDawn Brock. The church began with 15 core members.
Based on God's commandment in Matthew 28:19-20, we must first reach all men through evangelism, regardless of race and ethnicity; and teach them through discipleship. In order to accomplish this tremendous task, Church on the Rock was establish as a multi-congregational church model with that is focused on evangelism and discipleship. From the beginning our goal has been to elevate Jesus Christ.
Over the years, the church grown and new ministries have been birthed, but the church has never lost sight of its purpose and calling. Church on the Rock continues its commitment of building the kingdom of God, one soul at a time.
Even as the COVID-19 pandemic tried to disrupt our lives, it was not able to stop our commitment to spreading the good news of Jesus Christ and continuing to teach the Word of God to all believers. As more people are looking to the Church for answers, they are looking for truth and not performance. Although we are not currently worshiping in our building together, we are still fulfilling our purpose of evangelism and discipleship.
Our Pastor:
LaDawn Brock is lead pastor at Church on the Rock Community Fellowship in Dallas, Texas. A graduate of Texas Woman's University, LaDawn has 24 years of teaching and counseling, which enables her to reach others through humor, sensitivity, transparency and strength. LaDawn is bi-vocational and has worked in the communications arena for nearly 30 years. She also is the proud mother of two adopted daughters that are a testament to her commitment to living by example.
